Native Wind in North America
NativeEnergy, a tribal-owned company, is helping finance construction of a 30 MW wind farm on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation, in a heavily coal-fired grid in South Dakota, USA. This project follows construction of the tribe's first turbine, and represents a significant step in the tribe’s effort to create a sustainable economy in harmony with cultural beliefs. This project is certified by the Climate Neutral Network.
